Grama Panchayat

The Annual Plan of Vellathooval Grama Panchayat for the year 2025–26 includes a wide range of projects across various sectors with the objective of achieving comprehensive development of the Panchayat. Special emphasis has been given to infrastructure development activities such as road maintenance, drainage construction, drinking water projects, and maintenance of street lights. Agricultural development is being promoted through various initiatives including the distribution of vegetable, fruit tree, nutmeg, and banana saplings, supply of organic manure, promotion of paddy cultivation, and the conversion of fallow land into cultivable land. In the animal husbandry sector, projects such as the distribution of dairy cows, cattle feed subsidies, distribution of poultry birds, and production incentives for dairy farmers are being implemented. In the health sector, projects including the purchase of medicines for hospitals, palliative care, renovation of health centres, and fitness parks have been included. Special attention has also been given to the development of basic infrastructure in Anganwadis, along with initiatives for child nutrition, healthcare, and arts and sports training. Various welfare measures, including scholarships, self-employment opportunities, medical camps, and other assistance schemes, have been included for women, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities. The Annual Plan also gives importance to waste management, sanitation activities, drinking water conservation, biodiversity conservation, and measures to address climate change. Infrastructure development of the Panchayat office and other component institutions, digital systems, equipment, and renovation of public institutions have also been included as part of the plan. Through these initiatives, the Annual Plan aims to ensure improved public services and achieve the comprehensive and sustainable development of Vellathooval Grama Panchayat.
